Once trash is in the can, it STAYS IN THE CAN
The Millennium Series In-Ground Trash Cans and Recycling Containers consist of impermeable cylinders of plastic planted into the ground. Above ground, these look like regular trash cans; however they have a much greater trash capacity. Inside the cylinder is a single use, large, thick plastic bag supported by a platform and lifting harness.
Each unit has a capacity far greater then a regular trash can - up to 3-4 cubic yards of self-compacting trash. Due to this capacity, less frequent emptying is required, as well as solving a number of trash related issues.
The In-Ground Trash Can system has a dual locking system and all parts/pieces are stainless steel. The lids are sloped, as well as air & water tight. The public access openings are available in 3 sizes (9" Round, 9"X12" Rectangular and 5" Round Recycling) and are self-closing (& ADA compliant).
An odor flange aids in minimizing smells, complemented by the self-closing, counter-weighted lid. The cooler temperatures underground further help mitigate odors by slowing down the decay process. Each unit also comes with a molded-in anchor flange.
